Our Journey

Nearly thirty five years ago, Edward started working on the jewellery workbench learning all aspects of goldsmithing and earning a jewellery arts certificate. Then he went forward working toward his Gemmologist degree, achieving the designation of Accredited Gemmologist (C.I.G.) in 1997. For over 10 years, Edward worked in high end retail jewellery stores, gaining valuable experience and developing long term friendships in the industry.

Finally, in 2004, joined by his Wife Sharon, they realized the dream and founded Precision Jewellery Manufacturing Ltd. as Calgary's most technologically advanced jewellery workshop with the latest in jewellery design software and jewellery production equipment, including 3D printer in 2004 and milling machine.  We were set to change how the jewellery business was done, we quickly realized the 3D printers from 2004 were not quite to the standard which we needed them to be.  We have spent the last 20 years building our skills and abilities and developed a clear understanding and appreciation for fine crafted jewellery. Our Process

The process is easy, since we make everything on site you deal directly with the people who will build your project not salespeople.  We recommend you bring in your inspiration and ideas, and we can sit down and discuss the details of your design, pick which materials we will make it in, and select stones to source. once we agree on the plan and approximate pricing, we proceed to make a 3D model in CAD and a wax prototype to ensure we are on the right track.  Depending on the complexity and design we may have adjustments that reveal themselves and we can revise the model as needed, once approved, the wax is either used in casting or as a guide throughout the fabrication process.

So why choose a jeweller who makes the jewellery in Calgary, with the high cost of Canadian labour?  First we believe we produce better quality finished items, second we keep our overhead costs to the bare minimum which offsets the labour, third we are in control of every step, how the casting is done, which way the stone gets set, what the finishing details look like. Here is a small sampling of pieces to show you our process.
